The Dutch Slope’s Western Cafe Chapter 3

Here is chapter 3: April.3『Incorrect, it’s Sheath Cake』

Today’s menu is Sheath Cake and Darjeeling tea.

EDIT: Apologies for the failed post, it seems the chapter defaulted to some other url instead of the one intended, chapter is up now.

Note, these releases are all scheduled in advance, I’ll probably still be at work when chapters are posted, so if there are any issues, it may take me several hours to get to.

The Dutch Slope’s Western Cafe

Oh boy, how I’ve dreamed of this day.

So, the series I’ve been working on since 2017, of which more than half the chapters were translated just last month, is The Dutch Slope’s Western Cafe.

It’s a slice of life, cafe romance webnovel with a lot, and I say a lot, of Nagasaki’s traditional confectionery and food.
It’s by the same author of Hokuou Kizoku to Moukinzuma no Yukiguni Karigurashi, which is fully translated by Kudarajin.

It’s a short series comprising of 30 chapters and 3 extra stories, which as of right now, I have completely translated.
The only reason I’m not posting everything at once is because I’m still in the process of editing most of the chapters.

Hopefully, that will give me enough time to edit everything.
I will be releasing two chapters a day, with the last 3 extra stories released together.
This will also be released on my site exclusively.
For my own management, all chapters are linked in the Table of Contents, but the links won’t be live until each chapter releases.

Due to the incredibly large number of references to Nagasaki locations, confectionery and food, I will be using a new note format that appears when you hover over text like this.

With all that said, welcome to The Dutch Slope’s Western Cafe!

Legend Chapter 240

Here’s Chapter 240,

A new year, a new week and a new chapter.
Welcome to the 20’s people, the year where we all have 2020 vision, except those that don’t, like me.

Jokes aside, I did say I would put out more information about the other series which I had been working on.
I’ll do that in a separate post because I need to set up quite a few more pages before that is good to go.
On the bright side, I finished that series before the new year, even if I did cut it a bit close.

I go back to work tomorrow, which means I’m doomed as I still haven’t fixed my sleep schedule yet.

Legend Chapter 239

Here’s Chapter 239,

A late Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year in advance.
This is the last chapter of 2019, another year has gone by, quite quickly as well.

Back on the topic of the chapter though, even evil has standards, and some bandits don’t meet the standards.
An additional note on Louise’s speech, she drags out the final syllable of the last word in every sentence. I haven’t thought of a good way to show this so I’ve just tagged ~ on to the end of each of her sentences for now.
I also forgot to add an illustration for chapter 237, so that has been added back in now.

Lastly, I had been planning to release a Christmas chapter for Legend, but that never ended up happening because of other other series I’ve been working on. Two chapters a day for the past week really takes its toll on me. The good news is that I am 28 chapters through out of 30 chapters + 3 side stories, so I’m still on track to finish it before the end of the year. After it’s all translated, I’ll probably spend a day or two editing everything and will provide more information about what series I’ve actually been working on next week.
