A bit of trivia. The ability for a Cyclops to use magic such as Evil Eye originates not from Greek mythology, but Irish mythology. Specifically Balor the Evil Eye, a giant that was said to have a single eye in the middle of his forehead. The abilities of his ‘evil eye’ vary from telling of the Irish myth, but is traditionally said to either have venomous powers or the ability to petrify things.
